We’re back with June’s product update, and we have a ton of new features we’re excited to share with everyone. From performance gains and user experience enhancements to significant Copilot improvements, we’ve rolled out several upgrades designed to make your daily work in Willow smarter, faster, and more intuitive.

Let’s get started!

Improve your workflow with better ticket management

Managing maintenance tickets across a large portfolio can be time-consuming and error-prone, especially when every system insight could mean a different response. That’s why we’ve made ticket creation even easier, allowing you to configure your ticket settings within seconds, automatically trigger actions, and streamline monitoring.

  • Ticket automation: You can now automatically generate tickets based on active Insights when predefined criteria is met. Learn more here
  • Ticket setting customization: You can now designate which fields are required, hidden, or editable during ticket creation or updates, allowing you to match your Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) configuration. Explore this feature in detail here

Copilot delivers smarter answers and better support

Copilot continues to evolve as a powerful way to interact with your data and models in Willow. This month’s updates deepen its understanding of your systems, improve accessibility, and introduce new ways to extract insights, including from images.

  • Ask questions about Willow ontology and digital models: Copilot can now answer questions related to Willow’s Digital Twin Definition Language (DTDL)-based digital models, allowing you to get model-specific insights, deepen your system understanding, and enable users to more easily navigate Willow from the get-go.
  • Ask Copilot how it works: Users can ask Copilot how it works, laying the foundation for in-app guidance, onboarding support, and feature walkthroughs.
  • Turn field photos into searchable insights with AI-generated summaries for image uploads: Turn inspection photos or field documentation into generated summaries and searchable descriptions stored directly in the doc twin.
  • Better manage access: Willow Admins can now manage who can access Copilot using role-based permissions, allowing you to more easily scale out Copilot functionality across your entire team.
  • Get deeper insights with our Copilot product guide: A dedicated Copilot guide is now available to help users explore functionality and learn best practices.

Act faster with better insights

Native dashboards

All dashboards have been migrated to a fully integrated native Willow system built directly within our product that is faster, sleeker, more robust.

Here’s what you’ll notice:

  • A more seamless, consistent, and responsive experience for all users
  • Faster load times and a snappier interface
  • Full responsiveness across screen sizes and window dimensions, making it easier to view insights wherever you’re working

Upgraded Insight KPIs

KPI cards on the Insights page have been improved to now show actionable metrics and automatically filter the view to referenced insights when clicked. Impact scores adjust dynamically, helping users focus on what needs attention versus what’s already been resolved.

Support complex infrastructure with new domain-specific skills

We’ve added new domain-specific skills and system validations to support labs, hospitals, and campuses with complex environments, including:

  • Fume hood airflow monitoring: Ensure that fume hoods are exhausting enough air to maintain required volumetric or velocity setpoints which will protect occupants from harmful exposure and help you avoid costly compliance issues.
  • Track when hoods are accidentally left open: Reduce unnecessary airflow demand, lower energy costs, and ensure safer lab conditions, especially in environments where hoods are manually operated.
  • Occupancy-aware leak detection: Water leak insights now factor in occupancy data to reduce false positives. This helps avoid unnecessary alerts due to changes in usage patterns, like those seen at NAU during summer sessions when there are less students.
  • Positive/negative pressure validation: Four new skills ensure that critical zones like labs and operating rooms maintain required pressurization levels to protect occupants.
  • Fan control with multiple pressure sensors: Skills now account for systems with fans controlled by arrays of static pressure sensors, which can allow for more accurate performance in complex HVAC configurations, for example.
  • Dual duct terminal units: Skills have been extended to monitor cold deck and hot deck airflow independently. This ensures comfort and efficiency across zones with unique heating and cooling needs.

That’s a wrap—what are you most excited about?

From speedier dashboards to faster ticket creation, this month’s updates are all about helping you get more out of Willow with less friction. For more detailed Support information, you can view the technical release notes on our Support page.
